Debate: COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT ISLAM

Guys, as promised before in my previous entry.
From the "20 MOST COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT ISLAM" by Dr. Zakir Abdul-Karim Naik.

1. Was Islam spread by the sword?

• Islam means peace.
• Indonesia is a country that has the biggest number of Muslims in the world. The majority people in Malaysia are Muslims. Which Muslims army went to Indonesia and Malaysia?
• Islam is the fastest growing religion in America and Europe. Well, which sword is forcing people in the West to accept Islam in such a large number?

2. Eating non-vegetarian food.

• A Muslim can be a pure vegetarian.
• The Quran however permits a Muslim to hv non-vegetarian food. The following Quranic verses are proof of this fact: [Al-Maidah 5:1, An-Nahl 16:5, and An-Mu'minin 23:21]
• Meat is nutritious and rich in complete protein.
• Human have omnivorous set of teeth.
• Human beings an digest both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
• Even plants hv life - certain religions have adopted pure vegetarianism as a dietary law because they are totally against the lkilling of living creatures.Today, it is a fact that even plants have life.
• Even plants can feel pain - Science tells us that even plant can feel pain. But the cry of the plant cannot be heard by the human being. this is due to the inability of the human ear to, hear sounds that are not in the audible range i.e. 20 Hertz to 20,000 Hertz. Anything below & above this range cannot be heard by a human being.
• Killing a living creature with two senses less is not a lesser crime - Suppose your brother is born deaf and dumb and has two senses less as compared to other human beings. He becomes mature and someone murders him, would you ask the judge to give a murderer a lesser punishment because your brother has two senses less? -Aha, great answer!

3. Pork is forbidden

• Pork prohibited in the Qur'an in 2:173, 5:3, 6:145, and 16:115.
• Pork prohibited in Bible.
• Consumption of pork causes several diseases.
• Pork has fat building material - this fat gets depsited in the vesels and can cause hypertension and heart attack. It is not surprising that over 50% of Americans suffer from hypertension.
• The pig is one of the filthiest animal in the world - it lives and thrives on muck, faeces and dirt. No matter how hard you try to keep them clean they are filthy by nature. they eat and enjoy their own as well as their neighbour's excreta. -Iyaks!
• Pig is the most shameless animal - It is the only animal that invites its friends to have sex with its mate. Pig eating promotes pig culture for example in America. Many times after dance parties, they have swapping of wives; i.e many say "you sleep wth my wife and I will sleep wth your wife." -Horror man!

Thats all for now. I will try to add more later. Frankly, I love his idea of answering people's doubt towards Islam.
